Eddy SantanaBorn: January 18, 1974."The art of jewelry making and silver craftsmanship is one that gives great freedom and expression of individuality. Like a painter with an empty canvas, a silver crafter must be inventive and wildly expressive while maintaining the greatest attention to detail and finishings". Born in Eastern Java, Eddy moved to Bali in 1995 in search of greater opportunity in the booming artistic communities of the island. As a professionally trained designer, he found employment with a jewelry company as a product designer and was taught the crafting process learning quickly and adding his own expertise the pieces. In due time, he and a friend left to open their own gallery and jewelry studio which Eddy has co-owned and operated out of Ubud for over seven years. Eddy lives outside of Ubud and is an avid electric guitar player. When he is not creating or designing jewelry, he is practicing or performing with his band at venues throughout Bali. |
