Kadek SuartiniBorn: July 7, 1976."To me, designing jewelry is an artistic process that starts with a simple idea and develops into something special. It ends up coming from somewhere in side of you." Kadek Suartini has learned the art of crafting high quality jewelry since she was 15 yrs old. Her uncle, Ketut Kerenteng, took time in teaching her the unique design, production and different finishing styles which can be found today in Kadek's pieces. She would come home after school excited to visit her uncle's workshop and discuss everything and anything related to subject of jewelry design with him. Ambitious and with her spirit never in doubt, Kadek started developing her own design studio and workshop at the age of 20. In 1999, Kadek married an artist and gave birth to a daughter two years following. Kadek specializes in flora and fauna design concepts and uses traditional Bali daily life as her valuable inspiration. |
