"I seek in my work to display the connection I feel between the body, soul, and nature. I believe one cannot exist without the others and this is a central theme in both my work and life."

Eddy has been painting since he was 12 years old. Born and raised in Bandung, a small city in Western Java, he started his career drawing cartoons for local newspapers as well as freelance work designing posters for regional movies and productions. His interest in the culture and rich artistic traditions of the Balinese people inspired his move to Bali in 1976.
